Links
Please find below a list of links that I personally endorse--
either businesses that I frequent or educational websites or other resources that I use.
Art Resources:

Retrokat Medieval Freebies -  This site has provided the backgrounds for this website.  They have a number of
medieval pictures for use as buttons, columns and buntings, as well as illuminated letters.

Gode Cookery's Medieval Woodcuts Clipart Collection - A collection of medieval woodcuts, including the original
woodcut of St. Gertrude, which I modified into my logo.

If you explore their site further, you will find medieval recipes.  Their medieval cookies are fabulous.

The National Library of the Netherlands - A wonderful collection of medieval illuminated manuscripts in a
searchable and categorized database.  I use their manuscripts frequently for artistic inspiration.

The Maciejowski Bible - This site contains all of the pictures from the Maciejowski Bible--created circa 1250.  An
absolutely WONDERFUL example of medieval illumination, not to mention a favorite resource of armor and
weapons enthusiasts (even though the scenes depicted are biblical, all of the clothing, armor, weapons,
castles/towns, siege equipment, etc. are correct to the mid-13th century).  At last check the images were not
searchable by keyword, however they are numbered in order, starting with Genesis, so if you are looking for a
particular biblical scene, you can feel your way out.

Treasury from Vienna, Austria - Someone's gallery on Flickr that contains, on the first several pages, an
exceedingly fine collection of pictures of 16th century vestments.  In fact, they are pictures of the vestment
collection of the Order of the Golden Fleece, and are considered some of, if not THE finest surviving examples of
medieval embroidery.  These vestments represent the pinnacle of medieval embroidery.  You'll never see anything
like them done today.

Business Resources:

Fire Mountain Gems - This is such an excellent company to do business with that I don't buy beads or
jewelry-making supplies from anyone else online (and I don't buy much from
